River House

This wonderful project completed in 2017 just an hour out of Johannesburg, South Africa. 
A home away from home for a family to get away from the hustle and bustle of day to day life, relax and unwind with the sense of fun and a playful atmosphere. The brief was to create something quite different to what they live in in Johannesburg. 
As this home is on the banks of the Vaal River, blue does feature through-out the home to introduce the water element with splashes of colour to bring interest, a light hearted and relaxing atmosphere.
The emphasis was on comfort and outdoor living to its full.

Charleston

This Grand Old Lady is situated in the leafy suburbs of Johannesburg, South Africa. 
She was just last year (2018) given a Grade I Heritage Status.
The renovation and decorating of this home was kept in the style of this age, with a grand feeling of space and luxury living. 
High ceilings, panelled walls with wonderful beam structures in the ceilings to just give it that extra edge over newer and more modern style properties. 
The colour scheme used for this home was predominantly neutrals in the interior of the home with wonderful colour being used on the two open patio area’s that invite casual and relaxed living.

 

Island Villa

This extraordinary Island Villa is situated on the Monte Choisy Golf Estate in Grand Baie, Mauritius.
This wonderful family decided to have a complete change of lifestyle once their children completed their education in South Africa, the brief was bright and colourful with elements of Leopard and Animal print through-out either as a focal point or as a mere accent to remind them of home and all things African. 
The wonderful Island light just lifts this project to another level, with the palm trees swaying in the back ground and three glorious Yorkshire Terriers ruling the house.

 

The Courtyard

This property was purchased by my clients in 2016 and over the last three years it has evolved into the most spectacular home.
It is quietly sophisticated with elements of Old English. The colours are pre-dominantly charcoals, navy, flax and white with the odd splash of a rich red leather or a beautiful retro oversized floor cushion.
We are continually adding and layering whether it is in the main living room or in the children’s bedrooms as the little girls who call this home grow into young ladies.

Classic Residence

It is not often these days that you work on a project where the home is all on one level and 90% of the rooms open onto one of the most spectacular gardens in Johannesburg. 
This North facing, light and sun filled home is warm and inviting with wonderful areas for the family to escape to. Whether for quiet afternoon reading with a good book or TV and Video games for all to enjoy and take part in. 
The home through-out has an aqua palette in the common area’s with each room as you branch off the main passageway having a signature of its own.
